November in the Desert

My apologies for taking so long to update the blog, but the month of October was about as busy a month as I can remember!  November is here already, and one good thing we've come to know about November is that it is the month that temperatures and humidity take a noticeable drop...most days now get to a high of 31 or 32 degrees and at night it can drop to 22 - 24 degrees.  As we move further into the month they say we will get to a daytime high of 24-27 degrees with night time temperatures dropping to a comfortable 12-14 degrees.  Can't complain about those kind of winter temperatures when those of you back home are under snow and freezing temperatures!  Molly is loving school and often lets us know that she loves living here more than she did in Canada - she has alot of friends, loves school and her teacher, and keeps busy with her Art classes on weekends and her Soccer team practices after school.  The office keeps me busy and we are short a high school English/Social teacher for a couple of weeks so I have decided to go in and cover until a new teacher arrives and that has been a nice change of pace.  Christine is still loving her Kindergarten crew and is doing some great things with them everyday.  We have a holiday coming up in a week from school and we have decided to fly to Muscat, Oman for 5 days for a break and are really looking forward to it.  We will be staying at the Shangri-La Resort on the ocean and can't wait to get there and relax.  When we get back from that vacation it will be less than 4 weeks until we board another plane and head back to Canada on December 15th.  We are loving our new life here, but are also really looking forward to getting back to Canada to visit family and friends.  We keep up with what's happening with all of you mostly through Facebook and by Skyping with you, so for those of you who have not jumped on either of those bandwagons...hurray up so we can communicate!!!!  Take Care all, and we'll see you very soon!
